How Can Anxiety Disorder Happen?
Anxiety disorder occurs when a person’s coping mechanism is no longer able to handle anxiety, which causes them to believe there is danger or threat when there is none.
A coping mechanism is a person’s various attempts to handle the problems that trigger their stress. This includes their attempt to solve their problems directly, adapt to changes, and express their defensive response toward a situation that is threatening or exceeds their ability to protect themselves from the problems they are facing.
Symptoms of Anxiety Disorder
Some symptoms of anxiety disorder that are often experienced psychologically include:
- Extreme worry or fear, even leading to panic,
- Tension, discomfort, feeling of constant danger,
- Restlessness,
- Speaking excessively and rapidly,
- Difficulty concentrating,
- Fear of losing control, death, or madness,
- Difficulty sleeping,
- The feeling of fainting or choking.
